We’re looking for a motivational leader who can support us in the next stages of our organisational development. Hubbub is in an exciting phase, we’re nearing the completion of the first year of our Actor Training Programme, LaunchPad, facilitated in part by Arts Council England’s Elevate Funding, which is a true endorsement of the company’s success to date and future facing ambition. We’re also currently in the creation period for our next outdoor show, The (not so) Quiet Revolution of Kindness commissioned by Derby Festé to premiere at this year’s Festival later in the year.
Hubbub exists to provide positive, dynamic and developmental theatre based opportunities for people with learning disabilities within Derby and the surrounding area. Over the next three years, key strands of our work focus on community engagement, high quality vocational actor training and touring theatre productions which will raise profile and deliver our unique offer regionally and beyond.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual with strong leadership qualities and experience working within the arts to oversee the next stage of our organisational development. Our new chair will have exceptional communication, negotiation and networking skills, have an excellent understanding of the arts sector and funding streams and have some experience working within the education, SEN or charity sectors.
