As most of you know our next show, The (not so) Quiet revolution of Kindness is inspired by Random Acts of Kindness (RAKs). We believe that one simple act of kindness can not only change someone’s day, but their life and the lives of others. Our aim is to change people’s perceptions and inspire kindness by showering our audience members with sunflowers. The sunflower traditionally represents happiness and kindness and symbolises all we are trying to achieve with our new street theatre show, which will uplift and inspire with its colour, physicality and acts of kindness.

We’re asking people to join us to become RAKtivists and help Derby become awash with sunflowers on the lead up to our performance at Derby Festé on Saturday 29 September 2018. Our performers will start at Derby Cathedral and march to the Market Place where they will then perform on the Waterfall Stage and we’d like the shops, buildings, trees and pavements along the route to be adorned with sunflowers!

We’re looking for anyone who has the time and inclination to make sunflowers, it could be one or it could be 10, or even more… So if you’re associated with a school, a community/craft group, or are just someone who likes to make, knit, bake and decorate get in touch and help us create sunflowers that can adorn the streets, along the route, we want to hear from you.

You can download your FREE Hubbub Sunflower Revolution Craft Pack herewhich is full of great ideas about how you might go about making sunflowers, but if you have your own ideas then that’s great too. We are also able to supply the materials you need to make your own sunflower creations from the craft pack for a small fee, should you wish, just contact us and let us know. And if you want to help please do let us know so that we can allocate you some space on route and arrange receiving your sunflowers before the performances.

Contact us by calling: 01332 742 587  or emailing: [email protected]

Join the Revolution and let’s change the world one random act of kindness at a time…
