Hubbub Theatre Company was launched on Sunday with full colour, parade, bubbles and antics on the Village Green!

What a great day it was too… thank you to Antoinette Burchill, Charity Shop DJ, Sustrans and all the pedallers who kept our sound system charged…

We performed 3 timed throughout the afternoon and confidence and enjoyment levels just seemed to grow and grow. AJ, Amy and Laura were absolutely wonderful and had such a professional attitude and delivery….. HUGE ‘well done’ to you all… I can’t wait to see you all again and see what we will create next!

Holly Jones and Catherine Boot were legendary performers and held the whole thing in place with their skill, commitment and sparkle – we couldn’t have done this without all the ideas and contributions you both made – Thank You!!!

The band, led by the one and only Matt Marks, sealed the whole performance and provided quirky, wonderful music and additional accompaniments throughout the day…. Thanks to all who jumped in on the inventive array of instruments – Ian, Andy, Emma, Melody….. and the fantastic Simon who joined us on the trombone in great style!

Nikki Disney and Steph Prowting, who have been such valued support throughout the devising process, full of ideas and great problem solvers, were wonderful in role as the PE teachers… running to get everything in place and whistling to keep us all in line! Thank you so much!

Then our Holly Baxter as the Town Crier – a megaphone and a bell in hand – she certainly made herself heard! ‘On your marks….’ You were great Holly and we really look forward to working more with you…

Then we had Ian Pringle as ‘Geronimo’ adorned with driving hat, gloves. glasses and moustache, leading us around the Market Place with panache and humour before dashing over to take his place in the band – fantastic percussion Geronimo!

Andy Pilbeam-Brown brought magic to the Clown Powered Vehicle with his design and making skills, with great support from Emma Dempsey… and a helping hand from Melody Marshall.. there were many smiles as we travelled across the Market Place and people saw the creation of the Hubbub CPV. Brilliant job – thank you…..

Maison Foo nanas, Adaire to Dance and the Mayor herself all had fun with Hubbub and the CPC too… jolly nice to do business with you all!

Hubbub Theatre Company – What a team! What a company! So happy to have worked with you all and thank you so much for all your enthusiasm, good humour, skills and playfulness…. I can’t wait to see what’s next…..

We already have interest for further outings of Village Green Antics and the CPV…… more to come!
