Our next CPD Training opportunity is part of our Dance Development Programme of monthly movement-based sessions for artists, teachers or practitioners who use movement, dance and theatre supported by funding from Arts Council England.
Dance for Wellbeing with Neuromotion is facilitated by Sara Rose, Dance Movement Psychotherapist and Supervisor for the Hubbub creative team. The session is based around Accessible Movement and Dance for Wellbeing, exploring a range of movement approaches that support the nervous system and physical and emotional wellbeing.
Sara Rose is a Dance Movement Psychotherapist and Community Dance Practitioner whose work centres on accessibility, creativity, and supporting people to move in ways that feel authentic and possible for them. Her practice is grounded in relational awareness, somatic understanding, and a commitment to inclusive, safe spaces.
This workshop offers dance practitioners a chance to explore how props can support accessible movement and open up creative options for different bodies and needs. Blending theoretical ideas from dance movement psychotherapy with practical, hands‑on exploration, the session encourages curiosity, experimentation, and reflective practice.
A key focus is on developing safe practices that will consider physical, emotional, and relational safety, and how small choices in facilitation can help participants feel supported and able to engage. Practitioners will leave with fresh ideas, increased confidence, and a deeper sense of how accessibility and wellbeing can shape their work.
