Drag: Tune Yourself Up – An Introduction to Drag Persona & Performance
What might your drag look like if, instead of putting on a mask, you tuned yourself up?
Drag: Tune Yourself Up is a playful, practical day exploring drag and performance. We’ll start with you, finding and amplifying parts of yourself to begin discovering a drag persona that feels uniquely yours. Across the day, we’ll explore creating and embodying your drag persona, movement and stage presence, finding your own style, costume on a budget, and practical make-up and wig tips. There’ll also be space for Q&A, skills sharing, experimentation and having a go at performing.
You don’t need a drag name, a finished look, expensive costumes or any previous drag experience, but you are very welcome to bring anything you already have that you’d like to play and experiment with. Come as you are and tune yourself up.
This Get Involved workshop is suitable for Learning Disabled, Autistic and Neurodivergent adults aged 18 and above.
Drag: Tune Yourself Up, facilitated by Shane Lammond-Lynch, takes place on Thursday 29 October 2026, 10am – 3pm at Chapel Street Arts. Tickets £10 per person.
