Hubbub Theatre Company are delighted to have been awarded a third Arts Council grant, match funded by Derby City Council and a forthcoming Crowdfunding campaign. This will enable the company to tour ‘Kessoku – Tales of Togetherness’ to 5 venues in the East Midlands : Nottingham Lakeside 1st March, Leicester Attenborough Centre 6th March, Lincoln Drill Hall 10th March, Deda Derby 12th March and Burton Brewhouse 25th March 2016.
Hubbub will be launching the tour and their new ‘Hubbub Club Night’ with a theatrical party at Deda on Saturday 7th November 7-10pm. We will also be having a raffle with some amazing prizes including a signed Derby County football, a spa day, a bicycle maintenance session and tickets to local venues to see great shows. Some tickets will be on sale at Deda and through our members. Contact us if you’d like some!
More exciting new is that, through support from Derby City Council, we will be launching these new groups in 2016 that will take place at Deda.
- ‘The Hub’ – a drama group for adults with moderate learning disabilities and /or physical disabilities who would like to build confidence, meet new people and develop social and communication skills. Wednesdays 2-3pm followed by a half hour ‘cuppa tea time’ in the café with Hubbub Theatre Company members.
- Hubbub Youth Theatre and Hubbub Juniors – for young people 11-16 and 8-11 with moderate learning disabilities and/or physical disabilities to develop their creative skills, build confidence and communication skills and make new friends.
