Kim Bormann presents ‘Five Body Elements of CircularDynamics’ – part of Hubbub’s movement-based inclusive Dance Development Continual Professional Development Training. Hubbub’s Dance Development Project is supported by grant funding from Arts Council England, aims to support professional dance and movement artists in developing their inclusive practice and develop diverse leadership.
‘Five Body Elements of CircularDynamics’ features Kim’s unique methodology for exploring spaces: CircularDynamics. Informed by Taoist practice and somatic awareness, this inclusive practice allows participants to access and be present in the moment, providing a toolkit to explore space, body and objects through movement, and using features of the room itself. There will be time for reflection of how to nurture individual movement practice, and participants are invited to bring along a personal object to explore within the session.
Kim Bormann is a Chinese-German heritage dance artist, facilitator and performer who combines somatic relevance and choreographic composition through exploring objects and settings, blurring the lines of workshop and performance. Kim Bormann ‘Five Body Elements of CircularDynamics’ takes place on 20th October, from 10am to 4pm. The full day session is £50 per person with concessions available.
