In Production:
The Drum

We are currently in Creative Development of a new touring piece of theatre called The Drum. Based on a Hindu story, the piece tackles themes of loneliness, poverty and struggle… how we can build stronger communities and improve wellbeing through acts of Kindness and sharing.

The DRUM

We’re delighted to announce tickets for ‘The Drum’ are now on-sale here!

As Hubbub’s first public performance since 2019, this really is our proud return to doing what we do best!

The Drum is a story of kindness, connection & being part of a community!
Using movement, live music and few words, Hubbub take you on a colourful journey of one boy whose heart’s desire is to have a drum… and the adventure he goes on to find one!

You can find us on Saturday 24th September.

Each performance will last 1 hour and 30 minutes, including community party after the show!
Performances are at 12pm-1.30pm and 3.45pm -5.15pm at Markeaton Park as part of Derby Feste.

Spread the word!

We’re grateful to be supported by Derby Feste, Derby Theatre, Deda and our wonderful Hubbub community to make this production come true.

About The DRUM

The Drum is a physical show with few words and live music composed by Ines Sampaio Figueridos.

Working with Helen Baggett from the internationally acclaimed Gecko Theatre, and Chris Yarnell (The Outbound Project) and Laura Ryder (The B team) the Hubbub ensemble explore the story and messages through a range of movement and non-verbal story-telling devices.
