There is another chance to attend ‘The Hubbub Way’ Training in October.
Bringing accessibility into your creative practice.
The Hubbub Way is an innovative, established training programme, open to artists, teachers, students or practitioners who use movement, dance and theatre. It is designed to offer ways to bring accessibility into creative practice; and to guide and facilitate devising theatre and performance for people of all ages and abilities.
Led by Jen Sumner and The Company, Hubbub’s team of professional performers, the two-day training offers participants ways to improve their inclusive practice and the skills to communicate effectively to learning disabled, autistic and/or neurodivergent people. The robust methodology aims to give participants:
An introduction to Hubbub’s method of co-creation, co-leadership, equity and kindness.
Ways to improve their practice and create a more accessible environment.
Skills to improve wellbeing for self and those they are working with.
Learn ways to communicate effectively to learning disabled, autistic and/or neurodivergent people in creative practice.
Learn skills on how to manage diverse groups in school & community settings.
The Hubbub Way is endorsed by Derby Theatre, Derby University and Central School of Speech and Drama as a model of best integrated practice.
The next Hubbub Way Training dates are: 15th & 16th October 2026.
