Are you fed up with the state of the world today?

Do you think we all need to be that little bit kinder and more considerate of our friends/neighbours/local community?
If your answer is yes then we’re need you…

Our next show is all about Random Acts of Kindness (RAKs) and we believe that one simple act of kindness can not only change someone’s day, but their outlook on life, which has wider social impacts on the community as a whole. So we want YOU to join our revolution?

We’re asking people to join us to become RAKtivists and help Derby become awash with sunflowers, on the lead up to our performance at Derby Festé on Saturday 29 September 2018.

The sunflower epitomises all we are trying to achieve with our new street theatre show, The (not so) Quiet Revolution of Kindness, which will uplift and inspire audiences with its colour, physicality and acts of kindness. So if you’re a school, a community/craft group, or just someone who likes to make, knit, bake and decorate get in touch and help us create sunflowers that can adorn shops and the streets, along the route of our show and surrounding area, spreading the revolution of kindness.

We have FREE craft packs available to give you ideas of how you might go about creating sunflowers, but welcome any other ideas too. We’re also taking orders from anyone who would like to order a craft box for a small fee, which will contain everything you need to make your own sunflower creations from the craft packs. To order your Quiet Revolution Box email us by Friday 31 August in the Hubbub Office: [email protected] and we’ll send boxes out early September.

Let’s change the world one random act of kindness at a time…

The (not so) Quiet Revolution of Kindness has been commissioned by Derby Festé 2018 and will be performed on Saturday 29 September at 1.30pm, 3.30pm and 5.00pm. Starting at Derby Cathedral the promenade show will makes it way to Derby’s Market Place and the performance will conclude on the city’s famous Waterfall Stage.
